This Website was originally launched Summer of 2001 and has been revised accordingly.

If you found this site by searching "Kim Overton", welcome. This site was originally launched Summer of 2001, as my music platform. I have not performed in several years, and now spend my time with my new venture, SPIbelt™, launched February 2007. I decided to keep this site alive as an alternative way to learn more about my journey as an entreprenuer and creator of the new "small personal item belt" (SPIbelt™) craze.

In 1992, I moved from Austin, TX to NYC to pursue a career in music and entertainment. I landed a regular spot on MTV's the Grind, while pursuing music. I attended NYU's jazz vocal performance program and performed at a number of local jazz clubs. I quickly found it difficult to pay the bills, and did not want to live the life as a "struggling artist". I met my future business partner in 1996, and co-founded the back-end development company called, Socket. Socket's client list included Volvo, Smith Barney, Nickelodeon, etc., and we attracted the likes of generous of angel investors, as well as talented computer programmers. We launched a proprietery content management software, and won several awards for our work behind the scenes of some of the top websites on the net. Years later, early 2001, I was offered an amazing opportunity to launch an entire interactive departemnt for one of NYC's historic advertising agencies, The Lord Group.

What happened next has effected us all in many ways. September 2001 saw that awful tragedy, and marked a new beginning of a change for most. Like many, I was laid off of my job, and faced with an uncertain future. I became a personal trainer, and found it to be the most rewarding career in my life. I connected immediately with my clients, and fell deeply in love with helping improve the life of others.

February 2005, months after moving back home to Austin, TX to be closer to my family, I launched my first product, the lower body fitness program, "Love Your Legs". It was featured in Cosmopolitan magazine twice that year, and touched the lives of many women. "Love Your Legs" was as much inspiration to me as it was, and is, to it's users.

A year and a half after the launch of "Love Your Legs", I developed the SPIbelt™. I filed the patent of the SPIbelt™ February 2007, and launched it across the country, and internationally. Since launch, we have met thousands of fans across the country who continue to be the inspiration for the SPIbelt™ line.

I encourage you to email me if you have any questions about any of my products. Thank you for your visit.
